Discover Grand Rapids isn't trying to replace Google Maps or Yelp, and it can't realistically catalog every business in the city — nor should it try to. Restaurants, bars, and things to do already have their own well-built sections. What's missing is everything else: the bookstores, the vintage shops, the local makers, the independent gyms, the specialty grocers — the kinds of places that give a city its character but rarely make anyone's "official" visitor guide.
Building this section well matters more than building it fast.
Rather than guess at what belongs here and build something mediocre, we want to hear from the people who would actually use it. What categories matter most? How would you want to browse them? What's missing from every other Grand Rapids business list you've seen? Your answers will directly shape what gets built.
